RCM Spotlight: Ron Marshall
How long have you been with Red Crow?
I’ve been with Red Crow since I started it in 2004.
Describe Red Crow in 3 words.
Creative, accountable marketing.
What has been your favorite project?
There are so many! Being a musician, one of the most interesting projects for me was when we produced several videos for the Dick Clark Theater in Branson. There I was, directing rock and roll legends like The Comets, The Crickets, Fabian, Paul Revere, The Dominoes, Bill Medley (The Righteous Brothers), and so many more. I remember singing their songs as a kid! They were all very cooperative and easy to work with.
What do you like best about your day-to-day at Red Crow?
I really enjoy watching our younger people develop and advance their production and marketing skills. They keep up with all the online and technical changes so seamlessly, and they have bright futures. I know the company and our clients will always be in good hands.
What would be your advice to someone entering this field?
Get online savvy, and always look at projects through the eyes of the client’s customers.
In your opinion, what’s the biggest misconception in advertising right now?
Probably the notion that marketing will be effective if you just do what others are doing. Because many do it wrong. Even small companies need a simple strategy and something to give them a measurement of effectiveness.
What’s RCM’s secret sauce?
Easy – it’s the Passion. The absolute addiction to helping our clients. We don’t work for them – we adopt them. We have been able to collaborate and work with wonderful people, and develop relationships that have lasted two decades! That passion is the self-motivator that drives the constant need to keep up with what’s new, and constantly search for the best ways to help our clients achieve their goals. It is truly a privilege.
